1. Who may use the service
Lacunr is intended for qualified radiologists and clinicians (or trainees acting under qualified supervision) using it as a decision-support and drafting aid. You confirm you are such a user and are authorised to use it within your institution’s policies. You must be of legal age and capable of forming a binding contract.
2. Nature of the service (decision support only)
The service assists with structuring, phrasing, and cross-checking radiology reports and suggests considerations from the text you provide. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis. The full nature, limits, and clinician-responsibility terms are set out in the Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. In any conflict, the interpretation that most limits reliance on outputs and most limits our liability (to the extent lawful) prevails.
3. Your responsibilities
- Independently verify every output against the images before signing or acting on any report.
- Submit de-identified clinical data only — never patient-identifiable information (see Disclaimer §4).
- Keep your account credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Use the service lawfully and within your professional and institutional obligations.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service: no attempts to breach security, scrape or reverse engineer, overload the system, resell or sublicense access, submit unlawful content, or use outputs to harm patients or third parties. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
The service, its software, prompts, knowledge structures, templates, and design are owned by the operator and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service as intended. You retain your own input content; you grant us the licence needed to process it to provide the service. No rights are granted to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service.
6. Payment (if/when enabled)
Where paid plans or credits are offered, prices, billing, and refund terms will be presented at the point of purchase and via any published Refund notice. Taxes may apply. Nothing here obliges us to provide paid features.
7. Availability & changes
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be signposted by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, in-product notice.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES (EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT). WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLINICAL LOSS, MISDIAGNOSIS, OR PATIENT HARM ARISING FROM USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED UNDER MANDATORY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR THE MINIMUM THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED, WHICHEVER APPLIES. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify the operator against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your clinical use of any output in violation of the Disclaimer.
10. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at the operator’s principal place of business have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law where you reside provides otherwise. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
